Question #1: samsung b550 no hdmi signal?

I have signal problems with my samsung b550 lcd tv. nothing that requires a hdmi cable works anymore (blue ray player, dvd player, x box 360). they are not broken, because they can be turned on/off. i upgraded my firmware and bought a new hdmi cable, but still i get no signal. i managed to get my x box to work by using the component cable. so the problem is with the hdmi and i don't know what else to do. any ideas?

Question #2: I got Sony Bravia 52'' LED TV, is that better than Plasma or LCD these days?

Ya just got SOny 52 inch LED tv. I played my ps3 game with HDMI full 1080p and it wasn't as bright as my old samsung Plasma tv but very clear. Is LED good? OR lcd or plasma better??

Is LED long lasting?

Question #3: Why won't my PS3 allow me to set up at 1080p?

I have a Full HD 1080p Samsung 32" LCD TV, and when i try to set up the PS3 display settings it says that 1080p is not supported on this TV. Is this because the PS3 menu doesn't support 1080p or is my TV a dud?
....ok....thought i should add the following info as many of you have replied.
The PS3 is connected to tv using a standard HDMI cable. I have checked through all the instruction manuals that came with the TV and it is definately a full HD 1080p rather than just HD Ready. I have not looked to see what the games are playing in i must admit. However, the reason for my query, is when on the XMB bar in the display settings screen, it says resolution is set at 1080i. As soon as you try and tell it that the tv supports 1080p it just comes up saying this is not supported. Hope this clears things up with those people that have kindly replied.

Question #4: Problems connecting Macbook Pro (late 08 model) to Samsung HDTV (early 08, 1080i)?

So I've finally decided to hook up my Macbook Pro (late 08 model) to my 40inch Samsung 1080i hdtv. I am using the wire given by apple (which is a DVI male and its opposite end is a VGA female). So I plug the white wire Apple has provided into the laptop. I then plug in a wire I just bought which is a VGA male and its opposite being another VGA male to correspond with the slot on the back of my Samsung TV. The connection (to me) isn't the problem, the problem is that the resolution being displayed on my HDTV is only isn't being presented in FULL HD. The highest resolution I am able to select is "1360 X 768, 60 Hz". My question is how can I make my hdtv display my laptop's images in full HD? Do I need to buy another wire such as a DVI male to HDMI? Is there something in the settings I am missing? Someone please help. Oh and by the way, I purchased the hdtv in early 08, it is also an LCD HDTV if that information helps.

Question #5: Vizio, Sony, Samsung, LG?

I'm looking to get a 40-42 inch hi def 1080 lcd tv.I've heard alot of mixed reviews on all of these and was just wondering if anyone has a good one for me to look more into.

I'm really leaning towards a 40 inch sony bravia as i've heard the sony brand is near the top. Im not looking to get fancy. Just something to last me awhile, play games on, and watch football on sundays.

Any help?

Question #6: how to connect playstation 2 to samsung LCD tv?

I bought a new samsung lcd tv today and I've plugged my ps2 in using the red/white/yellow leads that came with the ps2 and have always worked and when I switch to AV source it just comes up with no signal, I can't buy new leads right or even for a few days and its pretty important I get my ps2 set up (sleep with music on and no stereo atm so been playing music through my ps2 and turning the contrast down in the tv!) please can someone help me make it work?! also they're defs plugged into the right place on the tv lol!

Thanks :)

Question #7: Buying a new TV and I've been told Samsung are best?

Is that right? Any other brands to consider? It's for an HD/Freeview/26"/LCD. I am in UK by the way... any other suggestions much appreciated!

Question #8: my computer monitor recently broke and I saw and advertisement on Amazon...?

about "Samsung Touch of color T200HD 20-inch LCD HDTV monitor" It seems like I can use it as a monitor for my PC as well as for watching TV, which sound very attractive to me. Can someone explain to me how exactly does that work and how good are those? My husband recommend me to go to our closest best buy store and get it there and I was checking on their web page but they don't seem to have it. I found the model T240HD though, probably came after the T200HD. I want to hear all kind of opinion about it. thanks!!!

Question #9: Is Vizio or Samsung better?

I am looking to buy a New LCD Tv and i am unsure if i should get a Vizio or a Samsung. Same EVERYTHING even price but dont know which one is a better brand.

HELPP!

Question #10: Why does my HDTV make blu ray movies look fake?

I have searched and searched and haven't found a solid answer.

I just bought a 42 inch LCD panasonic viera TC-L4U25 and hooked up my samsung blu ray player to it and when I started watching a blu ray movie, it looked very unrealistic. It was like I was watching a home movie and the actors movements had a ghost like shadow when moving.

I've read that I need to turn off the 120hz or whatever or I need to turn off the "motion flow" and I cannot find either on my tv. If you have ANY idea of what I can do I would love you forever.

Thanks!

Question #11: Sony Bravia BX400 or Samsung LA40B550?

I am going to buy one of the following two 40 inch LCD tvs.Sony Bravia BX400 or Samsung LA40B550.
which one you guys suggest is the best? Please elaborate

Question #12: Should I get LCD or Plasma TV?

Hi I recently had my 50 inch Samsung plasma TV burnt and the repair for that is 700 dollars. So I am think I would rather just go ahead and buy a new one. But the question comes to mind is weather or not I would like LCD or Plasma. I had Plasma and it was fine. It was an amazing gaming experience for my Playstation 3 since I was playing some games in 1080p. Also better off axis viewing. But it seems to me that Plasma do not last very long since mine didn't go for 3 years, and My tv was on most of the time. Especially during the World Cup 2010.

Should I switch to LCD or just buy another Plasma? I don't play games much on my Plasma TV only like once a week or even twice a week, very often I play it, I usually play on my smaller TV. Anyways, I don't have much clue on LCD. Is it good for gaming with ps3 for 1080p and the same gaming experience as my Plasma? What would you recommend? Is plasma now a days good? And long lasting?
